WON 2006 GALLIPOLI ART PRIZE
oil-on canvas stretcher framed. It is the collection of the Gallipoli Club, Loftus St Sydney NSW
This is the 2nd work painted after a 6 day visit to Gallipoli in 2004. This work has some of the emotive words by Attaturk across the sky. These words continue to have such relevance and consolation to the visitors of Gallipoli today. It has Attaturks face in the landscape as well as soldiers walking back down the hill (including Simpson and donkey) It also has the tourist buses of today. There is a cross in the land as well.
